Filberto is not a puppet to be ordered around, not even by the most esteemed directors (remind me later to tell you some of the stories I've heard about his behavior on the set), not in his own dream, certainly, so he addressed Clarence fearlessly:
"I shall attend to the letter in my own way, thank you very much, now please put those teeth away!"
