Filberto espied The Mouse first and held The Pirate away. "I'll protect you from this monster," he told his friend.
"I'm not a monster, I'm a mouse," said the Mouse, and I'll show you the best way into the house."
"One more rhyme and you're breakfast," warned Filberto.
